Jivin' Skirt – Princess of the Forest | Vintage Inspired Full Skirt
Inspired by my love of jiving and the vibrant dance floors found at record hops and weekenders, the Jivin' Skirt was designed for movement, twirling, and a whole lot of fun.
First introduced at my booth during the Viva Las Vegas Car Show in 2014, the Jivin' Skirt quickly became one of Lil' Lou Lou's signature designs. As someone who enjoys jiving myself, I wanted to create a skirt that would look just as beautiful in motion as it did standing still. With its full silhouette and comfortable fit, the Jivin' Skirt was designed to spread beautifully across the dance floor while capturing the playful spirit of vintage style.
One of my favorite memories connected to this design came in 2015 when dancer and friend Corina Garcia won the jiving competition while wearing her Lil' Lou Lou Jivin' Skirt. Seeing the skirt come to life on the dance floor was a proud and unforgettable moment.
As much as I love a great twirling skirt, I also believe vintage-inspired fashion should be practical. That's why every Jivin' Skirt includes deep side pockets—perfect for carrying your phone and everyday essentials while you dance, socialize, and enjoy the festivities without needing to carry a purse everywhere you go.
The Princess of the Forest print was originally released as part of the Twitterpated Collection, a whimsical series inspired by woodland adventures, storybook romance, and the charm of nature. Featuring a playful forest-inspired print, this design quickly became a favorite among Lou Lou Dolls who loved vintage fashion with a touch of fairytale magic.
Made in Los Angeles in a small production run, the Jivin' Skirt reflects Lil' Lou Lou's commitment to quality and thoughtful production. Unlike many of the retired designs found in the Lil' Lou Lou Vault, a limited number of Princess of the Forest Jivin' Skirts are still available. Only one of each size remains in stock, and once these final pieces are gone, this original production run will not be restocked.
