Mexicali Rose Hair Flower - Lilac | Lil' Lou Lou
Introduced to the Lil' Lou Lou collection in 2011, the Mexicali Rose Hair Flower was inspired by the decorative floral embellishments often found on traditional Mexican garments and sombreros. When I first discovered these flowers, I immediately knew I wanted them to become part of the Lil' Lou Lou accessory line. Their vibrant colors, delicate details, and handcrafted appearance reminded me of the beautiful floral accents I had admired throughout Mexican culture.
Named Mexicali Rose in honor of my parents' hometown, the flower holds special meaning to me. My father was born and raised in Mexicali, and my mother moved there when she was four years old. Incorporating small tributes to my Mexican roots into Lil' Lou Lou has been important to me since the early days of the brand, and the Mexicali Rose became one of those meaningful pieces.
Measuring approximately 3 inches wide, each flower features sparkling sequins and beadwork sewn throughout the petals, with a salon-quality clip securely attached to the back. The Mexicali Rose quickly became a customer favorite and was offered in several colors over the years.
Unfortunately, the original supplier closed following the pandemic, making these flowers impossible to restock. The black and red versions have already sold out, and once the remaining Lilac and Pink Mexicali Roses are gone, they will be retired from the Lil' Lou Lou collection.
